GLENSIDE, Pa. –
Sophomore Katelyn McKillop (Mount Pocono, Pa./Pocono Mountain West) recorded a double-double with 25 assists and a match-high 11 digs to lead the Lycoming College volleyball team on Wednesday night, Sept. 21, at the Kuch Center, as the Warriors posted a 3-0 (25-17, 25-14, 25-23) win over Commonwealth Conference foe Arcadia.

McKillop’s favorite target was sophomore Shelby Gear (Rochester, N.Y./Gates-Chili), who posted 10 kills while the trio of freshman Amber Seibel (McDonald, Pa./South Fayette), senior Heather Keller (Quarryville, Pa./Solanco) and junior Jackie Oliva (Barnesville, Pa./Mahoney Area) each added six kills. Seibel also posted eight digs, two aces and eight digs and Oliva hit a match-high .545.

Freshman Kristen Whitehead (Avon, Ohio/Avon) added 10 digs for the Warriors (5-6 overall, 1-1 Commonwealth).

Lycoming’s attack got rolling in the second and third sets, hitting a hot .440 in the second set (13-2-25) and adding a .292 percentage (9-2-24) in the third.

Arcadia (1-4 overall, 0-2 Commonwealth) was led by Hailey Barger and Delaney Dobson, who each posted eight kills. Jessyca Stoler notched 22 assists, three aces and seven digs and Barger led the team with two blocks.

The Warriors get back on the court on Wednesday, Sept. 28, when they return to Lamade Gym for a 7 p.m. Commonwealth Conference match against Elizabethtown.
