ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – The Lycoming College women’s tennis team fell at Elizabethtown College, 9-0, in Commonwealth Conference action on Thursday afternoon. The Warriors fell to 3-5 overall and 1-2 in the Commonwealth and the Blue Jays improved to 5-4 overall and 2-0 in the Commonwealth.

A pair of Warriors won four games, as freshman Sayumi Akashi (Kanagawa, Japan/University of the Sacred Heart) fell, 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1 singles and freshman Kathy Jacobs (Milton, Pa./Milton) fell, 6-0, 6-4, at No. 4.

The Warriors get back in action on Saturday, April 9 when they face Alvernia in a Commonwealth Conference doubleheader with the men’s tennis team at Bruce Henry Park. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
