ANNVILLE, Pa. – Freshman Ellen Phillips (Muncy, Pa./Muncy) posted a win at No. 5 singles and the team of freshman Kathy Jacobs (Milton, Pa./Milton) and sophomore Adriana Rivera (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) posted a win at No. 3 doubles, but the Lycoming College women’s tennis team fell at Commonwealth  Conference rival Lebanon Valley, 7-2, on Sunday afternoon, April 3, at the LVC Tennis Complex.

Jacobs and Rivera posted a dramatic 9-8 (5) win over Jess Ferlenda and Danielle Bordner to take one of the three doubles points. In singles play, Phillips posted an exciting super-set win over Alyssa Kulp, 3-6, 7-6 (7), 10-8, as she came from behind for the win.

The Warriors fell to 3-4 overall and 1-1 in the Commonwealth. The Dutchmen improved to 6-5 overall and 1-0 in the Commonwealth.

Lycoming gets back on the court on Tuesday when they head to conference rival Elizabethtown for a 4 p.m. first serve.
