Dutchmen get past Lyoming, 3-0

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Thanks to a solid .308 hitting percentage, Lebanon Valley was able to get past the Lycoming College volleyball team, 3-0 (25-16, 25-9, 25-9), in Commonwealth Conference action on Tuesday night, Oct. 5, at Lamade Gymnasium.

Freshman Tanya DeWalt (Mainesburg, Pa./Mansfield) led the Warriors, posting seven kills and three blocks and junior Emily Abel (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove) added a solid 14 digs. Freshman Katelyn McKillop (Mount Pocono, Pa./Pocono Mountain West) notched 12 assists and three digs and senior Megan Schulze (Reedsville, Pa./Mount Pocono) added seven digs and two kills.

Joelle Snyder led the Dutchmen with 11 kills and six digs and both Emily Hopkins and Nicole Barra added nine kills. Emily Perkins posted 37 assists and Angela Kuperavage posted nine digs. Ally Stengel also posted three aces.

The Warriors get back in action on Friday with the start of the Lycoming Tip-Off Classic, as they host the City College of New York at 4 p.m. and Hartwick College at 6:30 p.m. at Lamade Gymnasium.
