SCRANTON, Pa. – Freshman Kaitlyn McKillop (Mount Pocono, Pa./Pocono Mountain West) posted her third straight double-double with 15 assists and 12 digs, but the Lycoming College volleyball team fell at Scranton, 3-0 (25-15, 25-19, 25-18), on Thursday night, Oct. 21, in non-conference action.
Senior Megan Schulze (Reedsville, Pa./Indian Valley) added six kills, three digs and three blocks and junior Emily Abel (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove) posted 12 digs for the Warriors (12-12 overall). Both freshman Tanya DeWalt (Mainesburg, Pa./Mansfield) and sophomore Jackie Oliva (Barnesville, Pa./Mahoney Area) each added four kills. Freshman Shelby Gear (Rochester, N.Y./Gates-Chili) added three kills and two blocks.
Michaela McCrudden led the Royals (13-13 overall) with nine kills, 10 digs and three aces and Jenell McFadden posted eight kills and seven digs. Kelly Zimmerman posted five kills and five blocks. Emily Keim posted 15 assists and three aces.
The Warriors get back on the court on Saturday when they head to Marymount University for a tri-match. Lycoming plays the host, Marymount at 12 p.m., before facing Moravian in the second match at 2 p.m.
