Women's tennis falls 9-0 to Scranton

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.
--- The pairing of Erika Niemann and Kelly Drinkard forced extra points in the second flight of Lycoming College women’s tennis versus Scranton University. The Lady Warriors fell 9-0 on Thursday, Sept. 24.

With the loss, Lycoming falls to 0-4 on the season while Scranton picks up its first victory and is 1-1.

In the sixth flight of singles, Adriana Rivera (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) fell 4-6, 7-5, 8-10 in a tie break. Amiee Snyder (Kempton, Pa./Kutztown) lost 6-3, 6-2 in flight one of the singles matches, as did Rebecca Reynolds, 6-1, 6-4 in the second flight. Niemann (Taylor, Mich./John F. Kennedy) dropped the third flight 6-1, 6-1 and Drinkard (Seaville, N.J./Ocean City) fell 6-1, 6-4.

The Lady Warriors return to the court on Tuesday, Sept. 29 when they travel to Grantham, Pa. for their second Commonwealth Conference match against Messiah College. The match is set to begin at 3:30 p.m.
