Women's tennis falls 8-1 to Lebanon Valley

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.
--- Katie Walker was the lone winner for the Lycoming College women’s tennis team on Saturday, Sept. 19. She defeated Lebanon Valley’s Caitlin Bedford 0-6, 6-4, 10-5 in the 8-1 loss in the second conference match of the season.

The Lady Warriors slip to 0-3 overall and 0-1 in the Commonwealth Conference while the Dutchmen improve to 2-0 on the season and 1-0 in the conference.

In the second flight of doubles, the Lycoming pairing of Erika Niemann (Taylor, Mich./John F. Kennedy) and Kelly Drinkard (Seaville, N.J./ Ocean City) fell to Lauren Fulmer and Bedford 8-6. Walker (Red Lion, Pa./Red Lion) and Rebecca Reynolds (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) fell 8-0.

The Lady Warriors return to the court on Thursday, Sept. 24th when they host the University of Scranton at 3:30 p.m. at Bruce Henry Park.
