Men's swimming falls 118-85 to unbeaten Susquehanna

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.
--- The Lycoming College men’s swimming team slipped 118-85 in a non-conference meet against Susquehanna University on Wednesday, Nov. 11. The Warriors picked up a first and second place finish from freshman Ben Hitchcock.
 
Lycoming is now 0-3 overall on the season while the Crusaders remain unbeaten at 4-0.
 
Hitchcock (Newark, Del./Newark) took first in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing in 58.01. In the 200-yard IM, Hitchcock grabbed second in 2:12.01.
 
The 200-yard medley relay team of Hitchcock, Joseph Andrie, John Kitner and Nicolas John took first, completing the laps in 1:45.19.
 
Individually, Kitner and John took second and third in the 50-yard freestyle. Kitner (Great Mills, Md./Great Mills) touched the wall in 23.21 with John (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg) right behind him in 23.91.
 
Andrie (Reedsville, Pa./Indian Valley) took second in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:05.19. Third in the event was Drew Miller (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport), touching in 1:08.17.
 
Men's Swimming
The Warriors picked up second place efforts from Chad Lemmons in the 100-yard butterfly and Derek Lupia in the 100-yard freestyle. Lemmons (Boiling Springs, Pa./Boiling Springs) finished in 52.76 and Lupia (Reading, Pa./Muhlenberg) stopped the clock in 52.76.
 
The swimming Warriors are back in action on Saturday, Nov. 14 when they host Middle Atlantic Conference foe Elizabethtown College. The meet is slated for a 1 p.m. start.
