Volleyball drops 3-1 decision on the road at Misericordia

--- The Lycoming College volleyball team fell on the road against Misericordia University 3-1 on Monday, Oct. 26. Sophomore libero Emily Abel registered a 33-dig night.
 
The loss drops Lycoming to 10-16 overall, while the Cougars improve to 16-9 on the year.
 
Lycoming battled through the four-set match and picked up a win in the third game. The second and third games were decided by a combined six points, but the Lady Warriors fell 19-25, 24-26, 25-21, 25-16.
 
Abel (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove) turned in a match-high 33 digs. Senior setter Abby Myers (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg) had 29 assists, while sophomore Amy Sharlow (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn) had 14 helpers.

Heather Keller
Sophomore Heather Keller (Quarryville, Pa./Solanco) led the Warrior offense, scoring eight kills as junior Megan Schulze (Reedsville, Pa./Indian Valley) had six kills. Senior outside hitter Beth Machella (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg) scored 14 kills and registered 17 digs. Senior defensive specialist Alyssa Taylor (Camp Hill, Pa./Cedar Cliff) had two service aces.
 
The Lady Warriors are on the road for their next match when they travel to Messiah College on Wednesday, Oct. 28 for the final Commonwealth Conference match of the season. Match time is slated for 7 p.m.
