Women's tennis edged 5-4 by Albright

. --- The Lycoming College women’s tennis team was edged 5-4 in a close Commonwealth Conference battle with Albright College on Tuesday, Oct. 20. Amiee Snyder and Rebecca Reynolds both won in singles and doubles competition.
 
The loss drops Lycoming to 1-9 on the season and 0-5 in the conference, while Albright improves to a 3-7 overall mark and 1-4 in the Commonwealth.
 
Snyder (Kutztown, Pa./Kutztown) picked up a pair of 6-2 victories in the first flight of singles and paired with Reynolds to edge out their doubles competition in a tiebreaker, 8-8 (7-3). Reynolds (S. Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) won her second flight of singles 6-0, 6-3. Adriana Rivera (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) picked up Lycoming’s fourth win in the fifth flight of singles 6-1, 6-4.
 
Lycoming and head coach Deb Holmes will complete their season over the weekend as they compete in the Middle Atlantic Conference individual tournament, beginning on Saturday, Oct. 24 and running through Sunday, Oct. 25.
