Women's tennis falls 9-0 to second place Etown

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa
. --- The Lycoming College women’s tennis team fell to Elizabethtown, currently second in the Commonwealth Conference, 9-0 on Wednesday, Oct. 14. Rebecca Reynolds won the second set of her singles match 6-3.
 
The loss drops Lycoming to 1-8 overall and 0-5 in the Commonwealth while Elizabethtown improves to a perfect 3-0.
 
Reynolds (S. Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) battled in a three-set second-flight match up with Allison Burkhardt 2-6, 6-3, 6-10. In doubles action, the pairing of Erika Niemann (Taylor, Mich./John F. Kenndey) and Kelly Drinkard (Seaville, N.J./Ocean City) lost in the second flight of doubles 8-2. Katie Walker (Red Lion, Pa./Red Lion) and Adriana Rivera (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) dropped their third-flight doubles 8-2.

The Lady Warriors return to the court on Saturday, Oct. 17 when they travel to Albright College for their final regular season match, set to begin at 1 p.m.
