READING, Pa. --- Sarah Jolly and Abby Petritsch fell in a close 8-5 doubles match as Lycoming College women’s tennis team lost to Alvernia University 9-0 on Saturday Oct. 10.
The loss drops Lycoming to 1-7 overall and 0-4 in the Commonwealth Conference.
Petritsch (S. Plainfield, N.J./Bishop George) fell in her fifth-flight of singles as well, 6-1, 6-0. Rebecca Reynolds (S. Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) battled Lauren Ertel in the second flight of singles, dropping the decision 6-3, 6-1.
Lycoming returns to Williamsport for its final home match of the season. The Lady Warriors will host Elizabethtown College at 3:30 p.m.
