GLENSIDE, Pa. – Rebecca Reynolds picked up wins in her singles and doubles matches but it was not enough as the Lycoming College women’s tennis team dropped its Commonwealth Conference opener, 6-3, at Arcadia on Saturday, Sept. 13.
Reynolds (South Williamsport) defeated Sarah Lapp in three sets (6-1, 3-6, 10-5) at the No.2 singles position.
She teamed with Aimee Snyder (Kepmton, Pa.) at the No.1 doubles position to defeat Lapp and Irina Samson 8-6.
Kelly Drinkard (Seaville, N.J.) defeated Kate Wiseman at the No.4 singles position with set scores of 6-2 and 4-6 before Wiseman retired in the final set.
The Lady Warriors drop to 0-2 (0-1 Commonwealth) while Arcadia remains unbeaten at 5-0 (1-0 Commonwealth).
Lycoming will open the home schedule on Tuesday, Sept. 16, when King’s College travels to Williamsport for a 3:30 p.m. match.
