Allowing just five hits in a pair of complete games for the Lycoming softball team has helped senior Payton Whary earn her second career Warrior of the Week award and second of the season. Whary threw a two-hitter in a five-inning 9-1 win over 11-3 DeSales, allowing one unearned run and striking out five. She also tossed a six-inning three-hitter in a tough-luck 1-0 loss to 2022 United East finalist Penn College, allowing just an unearned run and striking out four. Whary finished the week 1-1 with 0.00 ERA, four walks and nine strikeouts, as opponents hit a paltry .139 off her during the week.

Whary is 4-1 this year with a 1.62 ERA. She leads the team in wins (4), innings pitched (30.1) and she is second on the team in ERA and third on the squad with 15 strikeouts.
