After earning his second straight bid to the NCAA Championships, senior Isaiah Britton has earned his third Warrior of the Week honors of the season. Britton, who is currently ranked ninth in the d3Wrestle.com individual rankings, came in second at the Empire Wrestling Collegiate Conference Championships for the second straight year at 149 pounds, as he posted a 19-2 technical fall over Oswego State’s Randy Sisenstein in the first round and added an 11-4 win over Oneonta State’s Daniel Graff in the semifinals. In the championship match, Britton fell to Ithaca’s fourth-ranked Blaine Woszczak, 7-5. In the true second-place match, Britton downed No. 5 seed Andre Berry of SUNY Cortland, 7-2. The two-time PIAA state champion has posted a 27-4 record this season, losing only to nationally-ranked competitors and he won 15 straight before falling in the conference finals.
