After hitting .571 during the softball team's Spring Break trip to pace the team to a 6-1 record, junior Claire Alexander has earned her first career Warrior of the Week award. The leadoff hitter was a spark to the team's offense all week, scoring 11 runs, hitting a double and driving in two runs, as she was on-base 64 percent of the time. Alexander had two hits and two runs against Minn.-Morris, three runs and two hits against SUNY Canton, three hits and two runs against Centenary, two runs and two hits against Delaware Valley, two runs against Centenary and two hits against VSU Castleton.
Alexander leads the Landmark Conference with a .571 average and is fourth in the league with 11 runs. The junior is hitting .322 in her career and has 83 hits and 55 runs.
