After becoming the first Lycoming College women's tennis player in seven years to reach the finals at the MAC Individual Championships, sophomore Hannah Summerson has earned her third career Warrior of the Week award and her first of the season. As the No. 3 seed in the second flight of doubles, Summerson defeated Misericordia's Carly Young in a gutsy comeback in the semifinals, 3-6, 6-3, 10-3, to join a group of just three Warriors that have reached the conference finals. In all, she finished the tournament with a 3-1 singles record, winning two matches on the first day of the tournament. Summerson also competed at No. 2 doubles in the semifinals on Sunday, teaming with sophomore partner Julia Nagle, falling to second-seeded Christine Kenny and Nicole DelRosso of FDU-Florham, 9-7. Summerson finished the fall season with an 8-4 singles record and a 6-4 doubles mark with Nagle, giving her 43 combined wins (22 singles wins, 21 doubles wins) in her career, which is just four wins outside the top 10 in school history.
