WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. --- Senior wrestler Troy Hayre has been named Lycoming College’s Warrior of the Week for Nov. 9.
 
Hayre (Falls Church, Va./McLean) helped Lycoming to go 3-0 at the Baldwin-Wallace Duals on Saturday, Nov. 7. The Warriors defeated Thiel College 29-9, Baldwin-Wallace College 29-15 and The College of Mount Saint Joseph 42-6. Hayre completed the weekend with a perfect 3-0 record.
 
In his match against Thiel’s Issac Moore, Hayre won his 184-pound match with a pin 1:53 into the match. He pinned his next opponent, Mike Hosta of Baldwin-Wallace, just 1:10 into the match. He completed the day with a 15-0 technical fall against Mount Saint Joseph’s Nick Terry in a time of 3:17.
 
Hayre and the Warriors return to the mat on Wednesday Nov. 18 when they host Gettysburg College. The match is set to begin at 7 p.m.
 
Lycoming’s sports information office will announce a Warrior of the Week through the 2009-10 academic year. The athletes will be featured on the homepage of the athletics Web site at athletics.lycoming.edu
