    Men's Lacrosse Volunteer Assistant
After a distinguished five-year career at the Division I level as a faceoff specialist, Matt Soutar is set for his second season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Lycoming College men's lacrosse team in 2026.

Soutar earned four letters at Monmouth University, earning three all-conference honors in his career and serving as a team captain in 2023. He was a First Team All-Colonial Athletic Association pick in 2023 and earned second-team accolades in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference the two seasons before that, also earning the MAAC Championship MVP award in 2021 after winning 20-of-27 faceoffs in a 14-9 win over Manhattan in the conference title game. He finished his career holding school records with a 58.1 faceoff win percentage (498-857) and 280 ground balls.

A two-time member of the MAAC All-Academic Team, Soutar played his final season as a graduate student at Big 10 institution Rutgers University, where he won 55.2 percent of his faceoffs.

A Mount Laurel, N.J., native, Soutar earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Monmouth University in 2023 and a Master of Science in Digital Marketing from Rutgers University in 2024. He is an industrial sales representative with Best Line Equipment in Muncy, Pa.
