Jordan Nies

After helping Bucknell to the school's first Patriot League Championship, Jordan Nies is set to begin his first season as an assistant coach with the Warriors.

Nies, a defensive midfielder, helped the Bison to the league title and a bid to the NCAA Tournament as a senior, appearing in all 17 games and scoring two goals. A four-year lettterwinner, Nies was a part of the most successful senior class in school history, compiling a 41-21 overall record and a 19-5 mark in Patriot League contests during his career.

Also active on the Bucknell Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for three years, Nies was a three-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

He has extensive summer camp experience as an instructor, working camps at Bucknell, Ridge High School, the Pingry School and at the Mark Millon Lacrosse Camp.

At Ridge High School, Nies earned All-American honors to complement all-state, all-conference and all-division honors.

In addition to lacrosse, Nies participated in the Bucknell in Barbados Study Abroad Program in 2010 and worked as an intern in the Wolff & Samson Law Firm. He also worked as an intern with Construction Specialties, Inc., in France and England in 2011.

A native of Basking Ridge, N.J., Nies graduated from Bucknell in 2011 with a bachlor of arts in sociology.
