A three-year starter and a two-time All-MAC Commonwealth selection, Nyk King joins the coaching staff in 2017-18 as a student assistant while he finishes his degree in business management.
King was a major contributor on two MAC Commonwealth Championship teams as he had career averages of 10.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.2 steals while playing in 98 games and starting 74. He was the 2016-17 MAC Commonwealth Tournament MVP when he averaged 14.5 points, six rebounds and 4.5 assists in the two-game tournament. In the championship game, he totaled 21 points, six rebounds and four assists in the 76-62 win over Albright.
As a junior, King led the team with 12.7 points and 6.5 rebounds while earning MAC Commonwealth Second Team honors and helping the team to its first MAC Commonwealth title.
He had career totals of 986 points, 507 rebounds, 211 assists and 116 steals.
