Former Xavier University graduate assistant Fivos Kostis is in his first year as an assistant coach with the Lycoming College men’s basketball team.
Kostis spent the previous two season with the Xavier men’s basketball team, serving as a graduate program assistant in 2015-16 when the Musketeers reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament and head coach Chris Mack earned three national coach of the year awards. He served as a student assistant in 2014-15.
Kostis, who earned a Master’s degree in Sport Administration at Xavier, assisted the coaching staff in coordinating individual and team workouts as well as assisting in video operations, including film breakdown. He also assisted the coaches with other on-court and off-court activities.
Kostis graduated from National Kapodistrian University in Athens, Greece, in 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Science and graduated from Technical Educational Institute in Athens in 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Kostis, who was born in Edinburgh, United Kingdom, played professional basketball in Greece for eight seasons.
