After being a part of the Lycoming College baseball program in its first two years on campus, Evan Evans will continue to be a part of the team, as he enters his first season as an assistant baseball coach in 2025.

Evans spent the 2024 season as a student assistant coach, working with the team’s pitchers and helping with technological setups during practice and games as well as working with individual players on biomechanical assessments.

Evans received the OnBase University Body-Pitching Connection certification, which teaches students how to identify player’s body movements for proper mechanics, evaluate athletes’ movement patterns, and assess their physical limitations.

In 2022 and 2023, Evans worked as an assistant coach for In The Dirt Baseball in Lewistown, Md., where he coached college and high school baseball players during the summer seasons. In this role, Evans supervised bullpen sessions and led batting practices to prepare athletes for upcoming games.

Evans graduated from Lycoming College in 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts in political science. Evans was a team captain for the squad in 2023, when he was a member of the team as a pitcher.

Before studying at Lycoming College, Evans attended Frederick Community College, where he played baseball as a pitcher, first baseman, and outfielder on the college’s team, which appeared in the NJCAA Division II Baseball World Series in 2021 and 2022.
