WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - The National Football Foundation has announced Lycoming College senior tight end Brendan Clark (Montoursville, Pa./Loyalsock Township) as a semifinalist for the prestigious 2026 Campbell Trophy, which is recognized as college football's premier scholar-athlete honor, celebrating individuals who excel in academic success, football performance, and leadership.
 
Clark's selection highlights his impressive career both on and off the field. As Lycoming's first two-time all-conference tight end since 1992-93, the two-time team captain started his 2026 season by posting career highs of six receptions and 71 yards in a 17-7 win at TCNJ.
 
Clark has also earned numerous scholastic honors such as the Corporate Communication Department Award for Excellence in Media Analysis and Critique, membership in the Lambda Pi Eta National Communications Honor Society, and a place on the Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll in 2025.
 
He joins a distinguished group of Lycoming athletes who have been recognized as Campbell Trophy semifinalists over the years, including Parker Showers (2012), Cole Senior (2022) and most recently, Braedon Hart (2025).
 
Clark has also volunteered in several Lycoming football endeavors, including the Favors Forward Spring Cleanup and annual Get in the Game Bone Marrow Drive, as well as serving on Lycoming Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for two years..
 
The National Football Foundation will announce the finalists on October 21, with the final award ceremony scheduled for December 8 at the Bellagio Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
