WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - After a pair of record-breaking seasons in a row, the Lycoming College women's soccer team is back looking to secure its place as a consistent contender in the Landmark Conference, one of the best women's soccer leagues in Division III, when it heads into the 2026 season, which kicks off with a home game against Centennial Conference foe Gettysburg College on Tuesday, Sept. 1, at UPMC Field.

After the Warriors won a program-record 15 games in 2024 and reached the Landmark Conference championship game in the first postseason appearance of their 30-year history, the 2025 version of the team went 17-2-1 and finished 7-1-1 in the Landmark, good for its second straight runner-up finish in the regular season. The team set school records for wins, conference wins, goals, and longest winning streak, starting the season 12-0.

This season, the Warriors return seven of its top 10 scorers from a team that finished eighth in Division III with an average of 3.80 goals per game, while all seven scored of those returners scored at least three goals in 2025. However, the defense will see plenty of new faces after the graduation of two starters and the team's record-setting goalkeeper Riley Block '26.

The team has been working really hard during the preseason. They understand the expectations for the program and they have been doing everything they need to live up to them. We have a tough schedule in front of us that should prepare us for the Landmark Conference, and I really think this is a group that is up for the challenge.
- 10th-year head coach Kenny Fern
