WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Lycoming College women's soccer senior forward Mikayla Long (Lewisburg, Pa. / Lewisburg Area) tallied a hat trick as part of a four-goal week, helping her earn her third career Landmark Conference Offensive Athlete of the Week honors, the conference announced on Monday, Oct. 19.
Long paced the Warriors' first conference win on Wednesday, Oct. 14, scoring three times in a 6-0 victory over Goucher with goals in the 19th, 31st, and 80th minute. She followed that up with lone Lycoming goal on Saturday, Oct. 17 against Elizabethtown, scoring in the 42nd minute.
The senior has five goals and three assists on the season and last Wednesday became the fourth Warrior to reach 30 career goals, now sitting in a tie for third in program history with 33 career scores. Her hat trick against Goucher is the fourth of her career, second-most in school history.
This is the third time in Long's career that she has earned Athlete of the Week honors from the conference, being recognized on Oct. 28, 2024 and Sept. 8, 2025. She also is a three-time postseason honoree, taking home Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year in 2023, followed by first-team all-conference accolades in 2024 and second team recognition in 2025.
Long is also the second Warrior to earn weekly recognition from the conference this season, after senior defender Norah Mosley (Robbinsville, N.J. / Allentown) took home defensive honors on Sept. 21.
The Warriors will be back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 21 for a Landmark Conference match at Juniata College, which will get underway from Huntingdon, Pa., at 7 p.m.
