Halls score at Scranton

SCRANTON, Pa. – Sophomore James Hall-Melnychuck (Magnolia, N.J./Sterling) and first-year Samuel Hall (Hanover, Pa./Delone Catholic) scored for the Lycoming College men's lacrosse team, as it fell to preseason Landmark Conference favorite the University of Scranton, 31-2, on Wednesday afternoon, March 25.
 
Hall scored for the fourth straight game when he netted a third-quarter goal. Hall-Melnychuck's goal was assisted by junior goalkeeper Evan Donnelly (Hanover, Md./Archbishop Spalding), who finished with 17 saves and eight groundballs for the Warriors (2-6 overall, 0-2 Landmark).
 
Hall-Melnychuck posted three groundballs and caused a turnover and senior Cole Slezak (Butler, Pa./Kitski Prep) posted three caused turnovers and he grabbed two groundballs.
 
Kyle Holmes posted five goals and Eamonn Twomey posted three goals and an assist for the Royals (4-6 overall, 2-0 Landmark). Quinn Carson notched three goals and two assists.
 
Jake D'Agata, Declan Allen and Carsen Kirchner combined to make five saves in net for the Royals.
 
The Warriors head to Susquehanna for a 12 p.m., Landmark Conference game on Saturday, March 28.
