WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - The Lycoming College softball team was selected eighth in the Landmark Conference Coaches' Preseason Poll, the conference announced on Thursday, Feb 19.
Â
Three-time defending conference champion Moravian (62) topped the poll with six first-place votes, followed by Catholic (58), which received the other three first-place votes, Wilkes (49), Susquehanna (44) and Drew (33) in the top five slots predicted to earn a spot in the Landmark Conference Championship. Scranton (24), Juniata (23) and Lycoming (16) and Elizabethtown (15) finish the poll.
 Â
The quartet of sophomore
Jocelyn McCracken (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore Area), and seniors
Hailee Sobieski (Wharton, N.J./Morris Catholic),
Claire Alexander (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport), and
Mallory Rodarmel (Montoursville, Pa./Loyalsock Township) started every game in 2025 and led the Warriors' offense, combining for 113 hits — more than half of the team's total during the season.
Â
The team's six seniors reached a conference championship final in each of their first two years with the program, falling to Misericordia in the 2023 MAC Freedom Championship and Moravian last year in the Landmark Conference Championship.
Â
The Warriors open their season on Saturday, Feb. 28, with a doubleheader against Penn College at 1 p.m., at Lycoming Valley Intermediate School.
