Lycoming picked to finish seventh in Landmark poll

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Lycoming College women's lacrosse team was picked to finish in a tie for seventh in the Landmark Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, the conference office has announced.

Scranton topped the poll with 80 points and eight first-place votes. Catholic was second with 73 points and the remaining two first-place votes. Susquehanna (61), Moravian (57), Juniata (46) and Elizabethtown (44) rounded out the six slots predicted to earn a slot in the Landmark Conference Championship, while Lycoming and Drew  (30) finished ahead of Goucher (17) and Wilkes (12) to round out the poll.

The Warriors welcome back two all-conference performers and six starters from a team that finished 8-8 overall and 3-6 in the Landmark Conference under first-year head coach Meaghan Smith in 2025.

Senior Riley Block (Hopatcong, N.J./Morris Catholic) returns after earning First Team All-Landmark Conference honors in 2025 when she led the Landmark Conference and finished 14th in Division III after averaging 4.56 goals per game. Sophomore goalkeeper Emma Yanders (Kempton, Pa./Northwestern Lehigh) earned honorable mention all-conference honors, as she finished second in the league with 10.44 saves per game.

Lycoming opens the 2025 season on Wednesday, Feb. 18, when they head to Misericordia University for a 4 p.m. draw.
