WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Led by 23 points from junior guard Connor Shanahan (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East) and three other double-digit scoring efforts, the Lycoming College men's basketball team fought with second-place Drew University all game, but Drew used a late surge to pull away for a 107–93 Landmark Conference win on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 31, at Lamade Gymnasium.
 
Shanahan poured in 23 points, including three 3‑pointers, while adding three assists. Junior Hayden Pardoe (Mill Hall, Pa./Central Mountain) delivered a double‑double with 18 points and 10 rebounds on 7-of-11 shooting. Senior guard Isaiah Valentine (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg Area) added 17 points, eight rebounds and four assists while first‑year guard Noa'Sosa Friedman (Louisville, Ky./St. Xavier) provided 19 points, six rebounds and five assists.
 
First‑year forward Charlie Sims (Birmingham, Ala./Homewood) added six points on two first‑half 3‑pointers, and sophomore guard Princeton Layton (Katy, Texas/Katy Paetow) posted five points, two blocks and a steal. Sophomore Noah Mathis (Ewing, N.J./Notre Dame) added three points, two rebounds and two blocks.
 
Drew (15-4 overall, 9-3 Landmark) opened the game with back‑to‑back 3‑pointers as part of a 15-2 run, but Lycoming responded with a 24-11 push highlighted by transition baskets from Pardoe and Friedman and consecutive threes from Sims to pull within before Valentine tied the game at 26 with a layup on an old-fashioned 3-point play, converting the play for the team's first lead.
 
Lycoming (5-14 overall, 1-11 Landmark) continued to push, going ahead by eight off a layup from Layton with 1:09 left before heading to the break ahead 48-41. The Warriors shot 16-of-28 from the field in the half, including seven 3‑pointers.
 
The second half featured six ties and 11 lead changes as both offenses continued to trade blows. Friedman scored in the paint and Valentine scored off a turnover to help Lycoming build a 66-61 lead with 12:41 left.
 
Shanahan put the Warriors ahead 74-73 with eight minutes remaining, but Drew 40 seconds later, the Rangers took the lead for the last time as part of a 32-18 final stretch.
 
The Rangers' David Musial finished with 30 points, 14 rebounds, eight assists and four steals, and Andre De Los Reyes added 23 points with four 3‑pointers. Drew hit sixteen 3‑pointers and went 27-of-30 from the stripe.
 
Lycoming scored 52 points in the paint and produced 27 fast‑break points, but Drew's 16 made threes proved decisive.
 
Lycoming heads to Goucher College on Wednesday, Feb. 4, for a 7 p.m. Landmark Conference matchup.
