Jace Bennett (Falling Waters, W.Va./Spring Mills) has earned his third career Landmark Conference Defensive Athlete of the Week award, the conference office announced on Monday, Sept. 8.

In the team's first two games of the year at UPMC Field, Bennett notched six saves while earning his ninth and 10th career shutouts. He had two saves against Misericordia in a 0-0 draw and four more against Ursinus in another 0-0 draw, including a diving stop in the 88th minute to preserve shutout against the Bears.
For the season, Bennett has a 0.75 goals against average, which is fourth in the conference, and a .800 save percentage, which is sixth. His two shutouts is tied for the league lead.

Bennett earned two conference athlete of the week awards during his first year with the program.

The Warriors get back on the field on Saturday, Sept. 13, when they visit Mount Aloysius for a 2 p.m. non-conference game.
