WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — The Lycoming College volleyball team moved back over .500 for the 2025 season by cruising to a sweep over Delaware Valley University (25-20, 25-20, 25-15), followed by a four-set victory over Albright College (25-17, 21-25, 25-12, 25-13) on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 20, at Lamade Gym.

Lycoming (7-6) has won three straight matches, defeating Delaware Valley (3-8) and shaking off a second-set stumble to knock off Albright (3-7).

In the Delaware Valley match, the Warriors used a 17-4 run to take control of the first set, then rallied from four points down in the second set, scoring seven of the last nine points. A seven-point run midway through the third set put the match away for Lycoming.

The Warriors were led by first-year
Emi Wenger (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley), who tallied nine kills and ten digs while hitting .368 in the match. First-year
Kamryn Skeith (Monroe, Wash./Sutton) did a little bit of everything, with six kills, nine assists, nine digs, and three aces, while junior
Ima Mercardo (Mifflintown, Pa./Juniata) added 12 digs and junior
Haley Balgavy (Warrenton, Va./Kettle Run) chipped in 12 assists.

In the Albright matchup, Lycoming led much of the first set, pulling away for an eight-point win. However, after the Warriors roared back from six points down in set two to go ahead 19-18, the Lions scored seven of the final eight points to even the match.

The last two sets were all Warriors, cruising to 25-12 and 25-13 victories where the outcome of neither set was ever in doubt.

Against Albright, four players posted double-digit kills, with Skeith leading the way at 17 kills, 17 assists, eight digs, and a .484 hitting percentage. Senior
Cameron Upcraft (Spring Mills, Pa./Penns Valley) hit .524, posting 12 kills, reaching 600 in her career, and seven blocks. Junior
Alli Macensky (Galeton, Pa./Galeton Area) and sophomoreÂ
Angela Farnham (La Plata, Md./McDonough) each tallied ten kills and four blocks, while Balgavy dished up 24 assists, Mercado racked up 25 digs, and Wenger added 12 digs of her own. As a team, the Warriors posted an efficient .313 hitting percentage as a team.

The Warriors will be back in action on Tuesday night at Lamade Gym when they welcome Houghton University at 7 p.m.
