WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – First-years
Kamryn Skeith (Monroe, Wash./Sultan) and
Emi Wenger (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) combined for 17 kills to lead the Lycoming College volleyball team, which fell to Penn State-Harrisburg, 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-16), in non-conference action at Lamade Gym on Thursday, Sept. 11.

Skeith posted a double-double with 14 assists and 11 digs, missing a triple-double by a kill, posting nine kills in 19 swings, hitting .421. Wenger notched eight kills and eight digs for the Warriors (3-5 overall). First-year
Charlene Petreshock (Warwick, N.Y./Warwick Valley) added six kills and a block and senior
Cameron Upcraft (Spring Mills, Pa./Penns Valley) added four kills and two blocks.

Ima Mercado (Mifflintown, Pa./Juniata) added 10 digs and junior
Haley Balgavy (Warrenton, Va./Kettle Run) added seven assists and three digs. Sophomore
Angela Farnham (La Plata, Md./McDonough) also added two blocks.

The teams battled through 13 ties and six lead changes in the second set, with the Warriors stepping out to a 13-8 lead thanks to five hard serves from Skeith before the Lions tied the set at 14 and broke a tie at 19 with a 6-2 run to close the set.

Brianna Ondishin Ribon led the Nittany Lions (3-2 overall) with 12 kills. Hannah Gregory added 16 assists and Kate Bukowski notched 15 digs and five aces.

The Warriors are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 13, in Pittsburgh, Pa., at Chatham University, when they face La Roche at 2 p.m., and Chatham at 4 p.m.
