Loghan Shelly (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central) scored a pair of goals and first-year
Laurel Fite (Shermans Dale, Pa./West Perry) added the game-winner in the third quarter, as the Lycoming College field hockey team opened its 2025 season with a come-from-behind 3-1 win over Washington & Jefferson College on Saturday, Aug. 29.

After Washington & Jefferson (0-1 overall) got on the board with a goal in the fourth minute, Shelly responded with a goal in the second quarter off a dish from senior
Katie Loughran (Ottsville, Pa./Pennridge). Fite provided the winning score in the third quarter on a give from senior
Victoria Burton (Marietta, Pa./Donegal) and Shelly added an insurance goal for the Warriors (1-0 overall) midway just before the midway point of the last period.

Fite finished with a goal and an assist to complement Shelly's two goals.

Senior
Isabella Bobé (York Springs, Pa./Bermudian Springs) finished with six stops to earn the win. Grace Ehrhard stopped 11 of Lycoming's 23 shots for the Presidents.

The Warriors get back on the field on Wednesday, Sept. 3, when they head to Houghton University for a 6 p.m. game.
