WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -Â The Lycoming College men's and women's soccer teams each earned the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the second straight year, sweeping the awards for the fifth time in school history, the organization announced on Friday, Aug. 1.

To qualify for the honor, teams had to earn a 3.00 cumulative team GPA or higher throughout the duration of the entire 2018-19 academic year. In total, 290 men's teams and 423 women's teams from all divisions qualified for the award. Only 156 schools earned the honor on both the women's and men's sides.

This is the ninth time the women's team earned the team academic award and the fifth in head coachÂ
Kenny Fern's eight years as head coach, as a 22 members of the team earned a spot on the Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll in 2024.
