WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - The Lycoming College women's tennis team fell, 7-0, against Juniata College in Landmark Conference action on Wednesday afternoon, April 23, at Brandon Park.
In No. 2 doubles, first-year Sadie Stahl (Duboistown, Pa. / South Williamsport) and senior Sarah Lanphear (Chittenango, N.Y. / Chittenango) teamed up to win 6-4 against Juniata's Sydney Madlock and Charley Madlock.
Senior Dillion Hutchinson-Thomas (New Oxford, Pa. / New Oxford) played a close No. 6 singles match against Juniata's Shveta Kalathur. Hutchinson-Thomas fell 6-2 in the first set, came back for a 6-4 victory in the second, and faced a 10-8 setback in the tiebreaker.
Lycoming fell to 8-7 overall and 0-7 in the Landmark. Juniata improved to 5-6 overall and 3-4 in the Landmark.
The Warriors travel to Wilkes-Barre, Pa., on Thursday, April 24, to compete against Wilkes University in Landmark Conference action at 3 p.m.
