COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Senior left fielder
Danny DeLucas (Whittier, Calif./La Serna) scored a run in the first game and drove a run in the second to highlight a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 22, for the Lycoming College baseball team, as it fell to Marymount University (Va.), 5-4 in the first game and 19-3 in the second at the University of Maryland's Smith Stadium.

The Warriors jumped out with four runs in the first two innings of the first game, but Marymount rallied with three seventh-inning runs to take a 5-4 decision.

The Warriors got rolling in the first inning when senior left fielder
Danny DeLucas (Whittier, Calif./La Serna) was hit by a pitch before sophomore shortstop
Sean Perkins (Berlin, N.J./Eastern Regional) delivered a homer over the left-center field fence.

In the second, the Warriors got two more runs, with senior right fielder
Jake Schilling (Levittown, Pa./Pennsbury) drawing a leadoff walk before a double to center from junior catcher
Nick Hoheb (Brick, N.J./Brick Township) and a two-run double from senior second baseman
Evan Mok (Daly City, Calif./St. Ignatius).

The Warriors led 4-2 from the third to the seventh, when the Saints rallied with three singles, a hit batter and two walks to score three runs.

Mok was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBI to lead Lycoming's eight-hit attack. Ryan Cuadros led the Saints, going 2-for-4 with a run and three RBI. Jordan Dickson was 2-for-3 with two runs.

First-year
Aaron Perna (Dayton, N.J./South Brunswick) pitched four innings, allowing six hits and two runs. He struck out three. Sophomore
Alex Halbert (Laurel, Md./Atholton) (0-1) pitched 2 2/3 innings in relief, allowing four hits and three runs. He struck out four. Jay Wandell (2-0) earned the win for the Saints, as he threw four shutout innings of relief, allowing four hits and striking out four.

In the second game, Marymount took a nine-run lead through three innings and used that en route to a 19-3 win.

Lycoming scored its first run of the game in the third inning when sophomore center fielder
Nick Reeder (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville Area) doubled down the line before DeLucas drove him in with a single.

In the eight, the Warriors took advantage of two walks, a hit batter, a single and wild pitch to get two runs across, with junior pinch-hitter
Kai Foster (West Milford, N.J./West Milford) driving in a run through a walk.

Six Warriors had one hit in the game. Bobby Leitzel led the Saints, going 3-for-4 with three runs and a RBI. Gary Ellenburg and Ryan Wright each scored three runs and collected two hits.

Junior
Landon Evans (Millville, Pa./Millville) (0-2) tossed 1.2 innings, allowing seven earned runs, seven hits and three walks. He struck out two. Parker Casselberry (2-0) tossed five innings for the Saints, allowing five hits and one run. He struck out four.

The Warriors get back on the court on Sunday, Feb. 23, when they wrap up the three-game set with Marymount at 12 p.m. at Smith Stadium.
