The Warriors return five players with significant experience in the outfield, led by the team's top returning hitter in junior Nick Reeder.
After hitting .340 with 32 runs, 52 hits, seven doubles, four triples, 14 RBI and 15 stolen bases as a sophomore, the center fielder enters his junior year eight hits shy of becoming the first Lycoming player to post 100 in a career.
Junior Zachary Pleska finished his sophomore year second on the team with a .270 batting average, posting 11 runs, 10 doubles, three triples and 14 RBI.
Senior Danny DeLucas returns after an injury midway through 2024 that cut short a season where the left fielder was batting .328 with seven runs and eight RBI, as he became the first Warrior to earn the Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week award.
Junior Josh Bottger started 12 games in the outfield, as he hit .237 with five runs, a double and three RBI. Sophomore Eric MacCluen made 26 starts between the outfield and designated hitter, posting 12 runs, four doubles and a team-leading four homers to go with 17 RBI.
Two other players will move into the outfield to add to the depth at the spot this year as well. Junior Greg Wirin saw time in 18 games and made eight starts in a variety of spots last year, posting two runs and three hits and senior Jake Schilling started 28 games at third base, posting 13 runs, a homer and eight doubles before making the move to the outfield this year.
Junior Julien Stellar also returns and first-year Jimmy Coppock will look for playing time as well.
