Warriors fall to No. 19 Catholic

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.—Senior Kami Abdo (Pottsville, Pa. / Nativity BVM) scored 10 points to lead the Lycoming College women's basketball, who dropped a Landmark Conference home game, 92-44 to 19th-ranked Catholic University of America on Saturday, Nov. 22 at Lamade Gym.

Lycoming (2-2, 1-1) shook off a slow start from the field to pull within a two in the opening quarter, before Catholic (3-2, 2-0) hit a late three to lead 16-11 after a tightly-contested first ten minutes.

The Cardinals, though, scored 32 points in the second quarter to take a 48-24 lead into the break, and they further separated in the second half.

The Warriors were led by Abdo, who was 4-for-8 from the field with two threes among her ten-point effort. Sophomore Jocelyn McCracken (Jersey Shore, Pa. / Jersey Shore Area) scored seven points with a team-high seven rebounds, four assists and two blocks. Senior Allison Fisher (Pinehurst, N.C. / Burrell) added six points, five rebounds and four assists.

Catholic was led by Lauren Kraft with 23 points, six rebounds and four steals. Three other Cardinals scored in double figures.

The Warriors will hit the road on Tuesday, Nov. 25 for a non-conference matchup at Penn State-Altoona. Tipoff from Adler Arena is scheduled for 6 p.m.
