WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.— The Lycoming College women's soccer team's school-record 12-game winning streak came to an end with a 2-0 setback against the University of Scranton in Landmark Conference action on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at UPMC Field.

Scranton (8-2-2, 3-0-0) handed Lycoming (12-1, 2-1) its first loss since a 3-0 season-ending defeat in the final of the Landmark Conference Championship final on November 9, 2024.

The first half was scoreless as the Royals sent an eight shots towards goal, but the Warriors held firm, as senior keeper
Riley Block (Hopatcong, N.J. / Morris Catholic) picked up five saves.

The contest remained at 0-0 well into the second half as well, thanks in part to five more saves for Block, who stopped ten shots on the night. However, Scranton finally broke the deadlock with a goal in the 79
th minute from Elise Nicholas off an initial stop by Block. Six minutes later, the Royals added another huge score, with Jenna Borelli finding the back of the net off a carom from a free kick, the only scores in a 2-0 Scranton win.

The Warriors will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 11 against Moravian University in Landmark Conference action. The match will get underway at 1 p.m. from UPMC Field
