WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — A record-breaking start to the 2025 season has vaulted the Lycoming College women's soccer team into the NCAA NPI rankings, sitting at No. 25 this week, the NCAA announced with its first rankings on Monday, Oct. 6.
The national ranking comes one week after the Warriors entered the United Soccer Coaches Region V rankings at #8 on Sept. 30, the earliest in a season that the Lycoming women's soccer programs has ever entered the regional rankings.Â
The Warriors have started the season 12-0, their best start in school history, including victories in both of their Landmark Conference matchups. Lycoming has done so largely on the back of a powerful offensive attack that is second in Division III in total goals (55) and third in goals per match (4.58).
Individually, Â junior Ella Magee (Selinsgrove, Pa. / Selinsgrove Area) is currently the highest-scoring player in all of Division III, leading the country with 37 points on 14 goals (tied for fourth) and nine assists (second).
Well over a month into the season, Lycoming is one of just four teams in all of Division III who have won all of their matches, while they join #11 Lake Forest (also 12-0) as one of just two Division III squads to have reached 12 wins this season.
The Warriors get back on the field on Tuesday, Oct. 7, when they host the regionally-ranked University of Scranton, with kickoff at 7 p.m. from UPMC Field.
