Warriors drop close one at Messiah

GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Lycoming College men's soccer team fell to Messiah University, 1-0, in non-conference action on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at Shoemaker Field.
 
Messiah's lone goal came in the 52nd minute, as Davis Pagett scored on a give from Patrick Lee.
 
Lycoming (3-3-3 overall) were led by two shots a piece from first-year Leandro Cruz (Nottingham, Md./Loyola Blakefield) and senior Thomas Geyer (Havre De Grace, Md./Harford Tech).
 
Sophomore Jace Bennett (Falling Waters, W.Va./Spring Mills) stopped seven shots in net. Kessler Forrest earned the shutout for the Falcons (3-6-1 overall).
 
The Warriors get back on the field on Saturday, Oct. 4, when they host Drew University in Landmark Conference action at 3:30 p.m. at UPMC Field.
