WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Despite outshooting 22nd-ranked Case Western Reserve University, the Lycoming College men's soccer team fell, 1-0, in non-conference action on Saturday, Sept. 7, at UPMC Field.
Lycoming notched seven shots compared to the Spartans' five, with senior Owen Magee (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) and junior Dante Beddia (New Bloomfield, Pa./West Perry) each having two to lead the team.
First-year Jace Bennett (Falling Waters, W.Va. / Spring Mills) racked up two saves as Lycoming's goalkeeper, while Case Western Reserve's Bradley Winters also notched two in the shutout.
Kysen Kroeger scored Case Western Reserve's goal 21:53 into the first half, assisted by Camden Larson.
The Warriors face off against Misericordia University on Tuesday, Sept. 10, in Dallas, Pa. The game will kick off at 7 p.m.
