Warriors split pair at Marywood

SCRANTON, Pa. – Senior Brynne Bisel (Julian, Pa./Bald Eagle Area) notched 11 kills and 12 digs to lead the Lycoming College volleyball team, which swept Marywood University, 3-0 (25-14, 25-10, 25-12) after falling to Keystone College, 3-0 (25-22, 25-15, 25-18), in a non-conference tri-match at Insalaco Arena on Saturday, Sept. 7.
 
Senior Arianna Santos (Oxford, Pa./Oxford) also added 13 kills in 18 swings as Lycoming (2-3 overall) hit a healthy .422 (43-8-83) against the Pacers (1-4 overall), who finished at -.072 (13-18-69).
 
Senior Jessica Ahart (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown Area) added seven kills and junior Cameron Upcraft (Spring Mills, Pa./Penns Valley) added five kills and two blocks, plus sophomore Alli Macensky (Galeton, Pa./Galeton Area) added four kills and four blocks.
 
Sophomore Haley Balgavy (Warrenton, Va./Kettle Run) posted 20 assists and an ace and sophomore Ima Mercado (Mifflintown, Pa./Juniata) added seven assists and four aces.
 
Autumn Savitski had four kills for the Pacers and Peyton Fischer added nine digs.
 
Ahart and Upcraft each had seven kills against Keystone, which hit .213 in the 3-0 sweep.
 
Balgavy added 19 digs and senior Ali Koval (Mansfield, Pa./North Penn-Mansfield) added 12 digs for the Warriors.
 
Rebecca Jackson led the Giants (5-1 overall) with eight kills, Catie Woolf added four aces, Elise Burk had nine digs and Tobi West notched 16 assists. Taylor Hallam and Elise Burk each had three blocks.
 
The Warriors are back in action at Mount Aloysius on Tuesday, Sept. 10, at 6 p.m., in non-conference action.
