CRESSON, Pa. – Senior
Ali Koval (Mansfield, Pa./North Penn-Mansfield) posted 28 digs and four aces and two Lycoming College volleyball players finished with double-digit kills to lift the team to a 3-2 (25-17, 25-27, 25-19, 18-25, 15-7) win at Mount Aloysius College in the second annual Sideline Cancer game on Tuesday, Sept. 10, at the Athletic Convocation and Wellness Center.

Senior
Brynne Bisel (Julian, Pa./Bald Eagle Area) notched 12 kills, 18 digs and two blocks in her second straight double-double and sophomore
Cameron Upcraft (Spring Mills, Pa./Penns Valley) added 11 kills and four blocks for the Warriors (3-3 overall). Senior
Arianna Santos (Oxford, Pa./Oxford Area) posted nine kills and two blocks, sophomore
Haley Balgavy (Warrenton, Va./Kettle Run) posted 24 assists and five digs and sophomore
Ima Mercado (Mifflintown, Pa./Juniata) added 13 assists, nine digs and two aces.

The Mounties (2-4 overall) got the first point in the fifth set and tied the set four times, but a Santos kill and a Mercado ace started the Warriors on an 8-1 run to close the game, with Upcraft closing the game with a kill in the 15-7 win.

Lycoming rolled to a 13-4 lead in the fourth set and never let the Mounties within four points before closing out the win with a kill from Upcraft and a block from Upcraft and sophomore
Caroline Colucci (Denville, N.J./Roxbury) to make it 25-19. The Mounties responded with a 25-18 win in the next set.

The Warriors jumped out to a 12-4 lead in the first set, but fell behind 15-14 before a seven-serve from Koval helped put the Warriors ahead by seven in a 25-17 win. In the second set, the teams battled through 16 ties and eight lead changes before the Mounties secured a 27-25 win.

Molly Richards led the Mounties with 22 kills and 26 digs, Matie Rupp added 18 digs and four aces and Mackenzie Barr added 15 kills and four blocks.

The Warriors get back in action on Saturday, Sept. 14, when they head to La Roche University to face La Roche at 12 p.m. and Carlow University at 2 p.m.
