ALFRED, N.Y. – Senior
Arianna Santos (Oxford, Pa./Oxford Area) led the Lycoming College volleyball team with 10 kills and a .471 hitting percentage to lead the team in a 3-0 (25-18, 25-16, 25-16) sweep of SUNY Delhi to kick off a tri-match the Orvis Activities Center on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 29. The Warriors fell to Alfred State, 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-16), in the nightcap.

Santos led a Lycoming (5-8 overall) attack that hit .208 in the opening match with SUNY Delhi (4-15 overall), as five players had at least four kills in the match. Senior
Camryn Quelet (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) added five kills and the trio of junior
Cameron Upcraft (Spring Mills, Pa./Penns Valley), senior
Brynne Bisel (Julian, Pa./Bald Eagle Area) and sophomore
Caroline Colucci (Denville, N.J./Roxbury) each had four.

Bisel led the team with 14 digs, while senior
Ali Koval (Mansfield, Pa./North Penn-Mansfield) and sophomore
Jillian Stebbins (Portville, N.Y./Portville) each had seven. Stebbins also added four aces and sophomores
Haley Balgavy (Warrenton, Va./Kettle Run) and
Ima Mercado (Mifflintown, Pa./Juniata) each had 14 assists and two aces.

Sage Renneisen and Madelyn Diep each had seven kills for the Broncos. Laurel Poston notched 13 assists and Katelyn Babcock had seven digs.

Bisel led the Warriors with eight kills against Alfred State, but Alfred State (8-5 overall) hit .224 in the match with 48 kills to secure the sweep.

Santos and Quelet each had six kills and Upcraft added five for Lycoming. Koval posted 17 digs and Santos led the team with five blocks. Balgavy posted 13 assists and three aces and Mercado also added three aces.

Racquel Gerstenberger led the Pioneers with 17 kills and Alayna Tomlinson added 16 kills and 14 digs. Nayomie Ferrer added 39 assists and Ava Wickes posted 19 digs. Caitlyn Gilman added four blocks.

The Warriors are back on the court on Tuesday, Oct. 1, when they host Penn State-Hazleton at 7 p.m., in Lamade Gym.
