TOWSON, Md. - Sophomore Julia Bidelspach (Myerstown, Pa. / ELCO) scored the tying goal for the Lycoming College women's soccer in its Landmark Conference opener at Goucher College at Beldon Field on Saturday, Sept. 28., helping the team notch a 1-1 draw.
Trailing Goucher in the 77th minute, junior Aubrey Williamson (Lititz, Pa. / Warwick) relayed the ball to Bidelspach, who launched it into the net to tie the game.
Over 20 minutes earlier, Goucher's Jordan Wood scored, assisted by Madison Ybarra and Nora Neall.
Junior Riley Block (Hopatcong, N.J. / Morris Catholic) made five saves against the Gophers. Goucher's Madison Gutierrez notched nine against the Warriors.
Lycoming (7-1-2 overall, 0-0-1 Landmark) accumulated 22 shot attempts with sophomore Ella Magee (Selinsgrove, Pa. / Selinsgrove Area) launching six and senior Haley Schafer (Camden, Del. / Caesar Rodney) shooting five times.
Goucher (2-4-3 overall, 0-0-1 Landmark) fired seven shots throughout game play.
The Warriors hit the road on Tuesday, Oct. 1, for Wilkes-Barre, Pa., where they will play against King's College at 4 p.m. in non-conference action.
