TOWSON, Md. – Junior
Christian Woobay (Gaithersburg, Md./Quince Orchard) headed in a cross in the 77
th minute to lift the Lycoming College men's soccer team to a 2-1 win in the Landmark Conference opener at Goucher College on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 28, at Beldon Field.

The Warriors (6-2-1 overall, 1-0 Landmark) got the game-winner after Goucher (4-3-2 overall, 0-1 Landmark) had tied the game in the 52
nd minute. Junior
Thomas Geyer (Havre de Grace, Md./Harford Tech) delivered a cross to the center of the box, where Woobay headed it down into the center of the net for the game-winner.

Senior
Kenny Clapp (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley) got the Warriors on the board in the 44
th minute, as he got an angle as a free kick was delivered into the box and he knocked a deflection into the right corner for his first goal of the year.

The Warriors took 21 shots in the game, forcing Goucher keeper Ale Sternini to make eight saves, as the team held a 6-2 advantage in corner kicks as well.

First-year
Jace Bennett (Falling Waters, W.Va./Spring Mills) stopped three shots to earn the win in net for the Warriors, as Goucher took 11 in the game.

The Warriors get back on the field on Wednesday, Oct. 2, when they host Messiah College at 7 p.m. at UPMC Field.
