WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore Riley Block (Hopatcong, N.J./Morris Catholic) notched two goals to move within four of 100 in her career, as the Lycoming College women's lacrosse team fell to Susquehanna University, 19-4, in Landmark Conference play on Saturday, April 6 at UPMC Field.
Senior Zoe Stauffer (Lititz, Pa/ Warwick) posted 11 saves in the contest to move within three of becoming the second player in program history to post 600 in her career.
The Warriors (4-6 overall, 0-3 Landmark) scored once in the third period and three in the fourth. Sophomore Riley Block (Hopatcong, N.J./ Morris Catholic) led the team with two goals. Junior Alexa Baldwin (Bel Air, Md/ Harford Tech) and junior Katie Maguire (Garnerville, N.Y./ Albertus Magnus) each had a goal each.
Susquehanna (8-4 overall, 2-2 Landmark) scored the first 16 goals before Maguire scored on a free-position opportunity in the third period with 3:54 remaining.
Maguire and Block each had an assist and Stauffer led the team with four groundballs.
Emma Kelleher led the River Hawks with four goals, Heather Riefenhauser led the team with three assists and Aerin O'Brien made seven saves in net. Kelsey Homberg had three goals, an assist, six draw controls and three ground balls.
The Warriors will be back in action as they visit Wilkes University, Wednesday, April 10, for Landmark Conference action at 6 p.m.
