TOWSON, Md. – Junior
Ben Franco (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) broke a pair of school records to highlight the season finale for the Lycoming College men's lacrosse team, which was overcome by a fourth-quarter rally from Goucher College in a 14-11 Landmark Conference game at Beldon Stadium on Saturday afternoon, April 27, to cap Lycoming's 2024 season.

Franco finished with 20 saves in the game to give him 250 on the season, as he broke Michael Tenant's single-season school record of 248 in 2019. He also broke Tenant's career-record for saves as well with his 16
th stop of the afternoon, finishing the game with 695 in his career, five more than Tenant's 690.

Joey Hoover (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) notched four goals and two assists to lead the offense. Senior

Ryan Farrell (Swedesboro, N.J./Archmere Academy) added four groundballs, an assist and a caused turnover.

The Warriors jumped out to a three-goal lead in the game's first 10:30 and led 4-1 at the end of the first quarter. Goucher, however used a five-goal run to lead 8-6 early in the third quarter, but a three-goal run, the last from Hines off a give from Hoover made it 10-9 with 6:05 left in the period. A Hoover goal two minutes into the fourth quarter gave Lycoming the lead again, but Goucher scored the game's last four goals to sneak away with the win.

Jack McDermott led the Gophers with five goals and Tyler May and Jacob Morgan each had three. Cole Smith led the Gophers with six groundballs and Jack Smith added eight saves.
